DAILY UPDATE #20 – AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND 2018

Three Weeks!

We’ve been on this adventure now for three weeks.  To celebrate, we are taking a flight from Auckland to Brisbane.  Although we spent a short amount of time in New Zealand we learned something very important while here over the few days.

New Zealand = Awesome

I cannot understate the beauty of the North Island that we explored.  We are both ready to return and explore more of New Zealand.

Brisbane Sunshine Coast

Our next location is the Brisbane area — well Sunshine Coast. We have a home base for a new record of… 3 nights. Yes. This will be our 15th spot where we’ll unpack our gear. On the upside we have a space larger than our own apartment.

Once in our rental car we headed south to Yatala Pie Shop. It didn’t live up to the hype but did fill me with lunch. From there we got the pleasure of experiencing long weekend traffic with a sprinkle of construction and a vehicle stalled in a lane.  I chose to arrive in the only state that has a holiday on Monday.   

We’ve got an early day tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll still be awake to write when we return tomorrow.
