After an uneventful three hour drive from Calgary International Airport, we arrived in Edmonton and easily found our hotel. Overlooking the North Saskatchewan River, it wasn’t hard to miss.

We really liked staying at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. So much so, that we booked a return trip for April 2021. Unfortunately that didn’t occur, and we rescheduled our stay to September. This time though, instead of just visiting Banff, what else does Alberta hold?
Our four nights in Banff were over faster than we had thought. Here’s our journey to the airport and return flight to Toronto.
There is much more than a big, luxurious hotel, and lots of place to eat when visiting Banff. First off, it’s a National Park! Even with fresh snow on the ground there were several items to keep us busy between meals.
Food therapy can be extremely tasty. The downside is that one’s belt and pants might begin to complain. Here are the tasty, and excellent restaurants we visited in the town of Banff.
