2024.01 Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Grand Cayman (Part 4)

With the general areas of the ship provided in the prior post, now, let’s move onto a key part of a cruise, the food!

Buffet

Let’s start with the obvious, the main buffet.  It had a good selection and I never had a challenge finding something as my meal.

Overall quality was good.  They also had theme nights.  One night we stopped by as it was German inspired:

Specialty dining – Italian

At the back of the ship was one of the specialty restaurants.  On the second night we dined here.  The food was good, Little Miss thought it was okay, and could have been better.  Below is the slideshow from our dinner:

Main Dining

We took the early seating, and were seated by two couples who we got to know well during our cruise.  Here’s a few pictures from our meal on the first night:

The meals were consistent and I enjoyed them.  Here’s another slideshow of another night’s meal:

And here is the slideshow of two more nights of main room dining:

As you can see from the pictures we didn’t go hungry while on the cruise.  The staff in the main dining area were great.  Although they were constantly in motion, they were excellent.  Having additional people to talk with during dinner was good.  The other two couples had been on many cruises, one had taken to being on a cruise ship for the winter instead of renting or owning real estate in Florida or other warmer corners of the USA.  I skipped pictures of breakfast as I’d have a mix of typical items, eggs, toast, pancakes, waffle, cereal, and fruit.

Some mornings, I’d grab a cappuccino after my workout.  Typically it would be a quiet space as most guests would order their drink to-go and wander about the ship.
