2024.01 Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Grand Cayman (Part 5)

Our first port of call on this cruise is the British Overseas Territory of Cayman Islands.  Our ship was anchored just off shore from the port of George Town.  Here we had a planned excursion to something that Little Miss loves — animals!  Seas were calm, so transferring to a tender was a breeze and quickly we were on shore, in a bus and off on our excursion.

2024.01 Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Grand Cayman (Part 2)

I booked this hotel on the basis that it was close to the port and was a reasonable rate. The hotel was maybe 10 minutes from the airport, if you included the traffic jam to get past and around the traffic for all the other terminals at Fort Lauderdale airport.

2024.01 Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Grand Cayman (Part 1)

After joining her family for a Caribbean Cruise, Little Miss joked “a cruise on our own would be even better.” So, we booked one. This cruise, the line and itinerary was influenced from our in-laws. Although they didn’t join us, they have visited these locations before. Time to go to the ABCs!
