2025.10 UK & More – HGI London Heathrow
Here’s a short hotel review. Not directly connected to a terminal, this is a viable and good choice of a hotel if staying in the London Heathrow area.
Location
London Heathrow has multiple terminals, and many hotels both on-site, or seemingly on-property, and those nearby. I selected this hotel as I had Hilton loyalty points available to be used, and it is a short distance away from the rental car compounds. Excluding my missed directions, it’s just a handful of minutes away from picking up or dropping off a rental car.
Check-in was quick and easy. I was tired, so I didn’t take any pictures of the room until the morning right before we checked out. We were assigned a room at the end of the hallway where the hallway inside our room was due to the stairwell next door. The room overall was quiet, and the soundproofing was adequate. With the picture at the top, planes are not far away when taking-off from Heathrow, and the noise is well dampened.
Room
Our room was just fine for one night. The hallway allowed us to have space to re-arrange contents of our suitcases. The bathroom wasn’t large, and the walk-in shower was similar to the size of the one at the Doubletree in Amsterdam.
Breakfast
This place was BUSY! So busy, I didn’t get a chance to take pictures of the buffet. It’s well setup, with everything available from a central bar-like area. Selection is decent, with several hot items, along with cereals, yogurt, fruits and cold cuts. Obviously, the most popular items for guests during our visit was the coffee machine. We were able to find plenty of food to start our day.
Overall, this is a decent hotel option when staying in the London Heathrow area. I did try and see about booking the Doubletree we stayed at in 2017, however it wasn’t available for booking during our trip.
