Our time in Tasmania has come to an end, and after a short flight across the Bass Strait we are back in Melbourne for a few days. What do you do in Melbourne on a Thursday afternoon?
The highlight for today is that the main highway from Launceston to Hobart is much more straightforward, lacking in hairpin and 180 degree switchbacks. Safely back in Hobart the question turned to what and where for dinner.
We took a scenic route to Launceston today and it was scenic. That’s an understatement. It was spectacular. Vistas that I hope to remember for a long time. And the roads! I felt as if I was participating in the Targa Tasmania in some sections. That’s a great feeling until the sun falls below the horizon.
