As we woke up we realized our vacation was coming to its conclusion and it was time to head home. Amber had already packed the night before allowing us to effortlessly check out and make the short drive over to Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport. The Sixt rental car location was sandwiched between the terminal 2 buildings. This made for a short walk to Terminal 2A.
We arrived at the gate as pre-boarding began, and I had enough time to snap a picture before they began regular boarding. Air Canada boards their planes by zone. Business and frequent flyers board right after the usual family with young children and those requiring assistance boarding, so we were one of the first people on the plane. Sorry for the blurry picture but I was excited that Air Canada was using both jetways for the flight.

If we didn’t enjoy our journey, how much can we enjoy our adventure?
Air Canada operates one daily, daytime transatlantic flight from Toronto. Almost all other eastbound transatlantic flights, North America to Europe, are red-eyes leaving sometime in the evening and arriving in the morning in Europe. This is great for having a connecting flight in Europe, but leaves us jet-lagged and results in us spending the first day in Europe sleeping a lot.
