Our third full day in England was another bright, sunny and warm day. Prior to the trip Amber had arranged with her relatives to meet us for the day. They decided that we would all meet at Hampton Court Palace. Fortunately for us, there was a bus route that would take us from our hotel to the Palace.
This was one of the two days during our visit that we spent in central London. We had three goals for this particular day: visit St. Paul’s Cathedral, the British Museum, and attend live theatre.
We headed into the city after breakfast. Public transit is right in front of the hotel with a bus stop located at the edge of the hotel property. It is only a handful of stops to Hounslow West station where we transferred to the tube for the rest of the trip to our first stop.
Hotels in London have one consistent attribute – they’re extremely expensive! As this visit to London included us spending half of our time outside of the city proper, I didn’t see the need to stay in the middle of the city. This hotel offered a fair trade in its value proposition, affordable and close to what we needed.
