There is much more than a big, luxurious hotel, and lots of place to eat when visiting Banff. First off, it’s a National Park! Even with fresh snow on the ground there were several items to keep us busy between meals.
Food therapy can be extremely tasty. The downside is that one’s belt and pants might begin to complain. Here are the tasty, and excellent restaurants we visited in the town of Banff.
I enjoy hearing the up-sell. Sometimes it’s overrated, other times, it’s worth every moment. For our stay at Banff Springs, we elected for Fairmont Gold. Why? Complimentary breakfast, afternoon snacks, separate check-in counter, a lounge available for use throughout the day and a dedicated service team. We liked staying here a lot.
Are you looking to stay at a hotel that is as impressive as its location? How about a hotel that has a museum as part of its lobby? This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to stay at the “Castle in the Rockies”.
