We had a morning flight to hop across the English Channel, and I had decided we would stay at a nearby airport hotel. For us, departing from Terminal 4, the Hilton Terminal 4 hotel was an easy choice largely because of its proximity to the terminal.

For our journey from Edinburgh to London, we took a train. We weren’t in a rush, so didn’t need to take a plane, and definitely didn’t need to spend hours driving a one-way car rental. This also enabled us to stop in Newcastle for a visit, and a lunch. Now the next choice, which train?
Our hotel for our five night stay in Edinburgh was the Bruntsfield Hotel. Just a short bus ride from Royal mile, it was a great choice in hotel for our stay that was close to central Edinburgh, but being just a short bus ride away. Excellent food, decent sized room, it’s an excellent option when visiting Edinburgh.
We returned to the same hotel that we stayed for one night back in December 2022, this time Little Miss wasn’t under the weather so we were both able to enjoy the hotel.
During our visit to Berlin we didn’t visit the typical tourist sites. Now to be fair, we did luck out and drove past a few of them instead.
