After sleeping in, our day no longer include the hour long commute to the Le Mans track. After attending the 24 hours of Le Mans I had two distinct thoughts:
The heat from Saturday continued into Sunday. We arrived at the track late in the morning, a little before 11am. Before I caught the Porsche #2 celebrating after taking the checkered flag a lot occurred.
Saturday felt like the hottest day of our trip, and we were about to spend as much time as possible of it outside watching the pinnacle of endurance racing. With giddy excitement, I couldn’t wait to head to the track to make sure no amount of traffic and crowds would make us late for the start of the race.
Friday arrived, and I admit, I was excited as it meant that after checking out of the hotel, our next stop would be Le Mans. I had followed part of the final qualifying the night before and woke up to learn that Toyota had Pole position(the first car), beating Porsche for the start on Saturday.
Who is ready for lots of car pictures?
Our final full day in Paris had us visiting the Louvre Museum. We had visited it before on our honeymoon, however given its vast size and extensive collection we wanted to return to explore even more of it. If you want a blog post heavy on pictures, then this one is for you!
