Boarding at the end of the international terminal required us to shuffle past other passengers as we were able to board with the frequent flyers and fellow business class passengers. It felt like this was going to be a full flight.

We effortlessly returned our rental car and walked into the international terminal. Our early arrival allowed us to maximize our time at the airport, strange right?
After a leisurely lunch at Rydges Sydney Airport’s Touchdown Bar we made the short walk to the international terminal to check-in for our flight.

The Thursday morning that we were leaving Tasmania, I woke up to an unexpected text message. It was from Air New Zealand — our carrier for our Australia/New Zealand flights that we had coming up on Monday (4 days away!). It was not encouraging news.
