Have you ever looked at an extremely expensive resort and wondered what it’s like? Well after Amber found it, I thought about it. Every time I started pricing out the visit to Uluru I stopped and returned to their website. So, I booked it, and I’m very glad I did.

Our home in Cairns for two nights was the Hilton Cairns. This hotel is located right by the reef fleet terminal and downtown Cairns, everything was in easy reach.

We arrived at the hotel in the middle of the afternoon, and it was quiet. This allowed us to check-in quickly, empty the rental car before returning it, and then return to have a lazy afternoon and evening.
The rest of Friday was uneventful, as being stuck in long weekend traffic to a popular weekend resort area isn’t unique to Australia. Most importantly though we arrived at our (temporary) home in time to check-in and get our keys.
